Today will be quick - power source issues for the computer make the available power time very short - hopefully tomorrow I will get either a new adapter or the euro version of my power cord.
Food: Cafe on maybe the busiest corner in Paris - Notre Dame on the other side of the Seine, tourists and cars everywhere - I sat on the patio - it was great. I had two glasses of Cote de Rhones wine, a veggie pizza (I know, not very French) and an espresso for 22 euro. The waiter was fabulous - spoke to me in French - was very amiable and even insisted that we get our picture taken together before I left (pictures will be uploaded tomorrow as the power situation is worked out).
Highlights: got my hands on the book I need today - it was great - I will visit it again on Monday. Also, ran into a crazy philosopher who asked me for a light and then talked at me for 20 minutes about Spinoza and Nietzsche. Good times?
Point of Interest: there's this thing here called 'velolibre' where there a tons and tons of public bikes and you put some money in to borrow it and get the money back when you return it - everyone is riding them - but everyone also constantly rings the bell while they're riding. What's that about? What do they know that I don't?
